Brookstone Haven of Randleman is in central North Carolina and 20 miles south of Greensboro. Brookstone Haven of Star is in Montgomery County, convenient to Asheboro and the Sandhills area. Both Brookstone Haven communities offer an alternative to nursing home placement for people with developmental disabilities and/or mental illness. Some of the special features offered and determined on an individual basis with regard to residents’ preferences and choices are:

day programs Monday through Friday
community activities
access to mental health services and supports
medication management
Assistance ranges from minimal to total care. Several residents receive mental health services such as Community Alternatives-Mental Retardation/Developmental Disabilities (CAP-MR/DD), Community Support and Psychosocial Rehabilitation services, but these support services are not required. People are assessed on an individual basis to determine if their needs can be met without additional services.
Employees of our Brookstone Haven communities include Administrative Staff and an Executive Director, Qualified Mental Health Professional, Activities Coordinator, Nursing Supervisor, Shift Supervisors, and Personal Care Assistants.
Cost of care funding is provided by Special Assistance and SSI. We can also accept Social Security, VA benefits, Railroad benefits and private pay. Staff will assist with applying for benefits as necessary.
